Frequently Asked Questions

  • How is executive function skills and ADHD coaching different than traditional talk therapy?

    • Coaching works with specific client goals to resolve and/or strengthen them. It helps clients achieve more or become better than their current state. It's done through teaching practical tools and strategies to help find your best fit. It works to improve your day-to-day challenges.

    • Traditional talk therapy can help clients understand their past experiences and how they impact their lives now and is carried out by licensed psychologists, social workers, or counselors. They help clients get back to their normal "state." Traditional therapy helps get to the source of client's problems and can provide mental health diagnoses.​ It also works to support them emotionally.

  • Do you provide Parent Coaching/Training for younger children?

    • Yes! Parent coaching/training one of the treatment recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics for ADHD. If your child is between the from ages of 5-9, TMann Coaching provides coaching directly to the parent so they can help their child more effectively. Over the age of 9 or 10, children/students are coached directly by TMann Coaching and parents are included in the Family Team Meeting held every 6 weeks or so and with weekly updates/session notes.​

  • How do I schedule a regular weekly coaching session and where are sessions held? Inquiry Meetings?

    • These are scheduled through the client portal link in the menu bar during the coaching sessions with the coach.

    • The initial 15-minute inquiry call appointment is made by clicking the inquiry call link in the menu bar via Calendly.​ At this time, all sessions are held remotely via Zoom to maximize the number of students and families I can help.

  • Do you accept insurance?

    • No, at this time coaching isn't covered by insurance. However, you may be able to use your flexible spending account, but the depends on each individual's plan; you can contact your plan manager to find out.​​

  • ​How long does Executive Function Skills and ADHD Coaching support usually last?​​

    • The coaching process is usually a minimum of 6 months.  However, this depends greatly on your specific goals and progress made.

  • What is the weekly session cancellation policy?

    • There is a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation made via your client portal. There are opportunities for make-up credit/sessions if it is less than 48 hours notice and both calendars allow.​ Each client is entitled to one complimentary cancellation due to illness or emergency every 8 weeks.

  • What are the intake & assessment fees? And what is included?

    • The intake & assessment fee is a one-time fee of $350. It includes a 60-minute Zoom session to review EF/ADHD skills and concerns, 60 minutes or more of reviewing skills and assessment documents completed by clients, as well as any documents provided by client to TMann Coaching (IEP, 504, neuropsychological evaluations, etc.), and a 30-minute consultation among any other service providers uses by the client if requested.​

  • What are the weekly coaching session fees? 

    • It is $150 per 60-minute session. This includes 45 minutes of live coaching via Zoom and 15 minutes of texting/email reminders and emails to families/students.
